20/06/2003: New Mechanism against Falsification

From 20 June, 2003 on we offer new 15-Lari MONO-cards with a new, Chameleon-type mechanism against falsification.

The difference between the new and the previous covers of a 12-digit code is as follows:
1. instead of black and gray chaotic lines the silver cover has an inscription in Georgian, saying "Check the green line before purchasing";
2. the cover has a green lines along its upper and lower edges.

If anyone has an illegal attempt to read the covered code by removing the cover or using some other means and to return the MONO-card to the sales network after sticking the cover back, the upper and lower green lines will change their color, becoming yellowish light-green with the inscription saying "Invalid".

This is the meaning of the caution of the cover inscription.

Please be careful to purchase a MONO-card at any sales point only after you make sure that the green line inscription does not say "Invalid".
